    Author analyzes the changes which took place in last decades in Russia in journalistic profession, speaks about the transformations of journalism status, describes the phenomenon profession's popularity in times of lack of media freedom. Describing social mobility processes in historical prospect, author deals with the journalism as social lift. On the base of two empirical studies the conclusion about the limits of professional freedom and the main trends in media sphere are made.

    «Interactivity as a Basiс Value of a Journalist Gained in the Process of Higher Professional Education»

    The article is devoted to the issue of necessity of interaction between the active part of the audience and a modern journalist. The author states that the latter do not posess the competences to fulfill the interaction, which cases discrepancy between theory and the expectations of practicing journalists. The article touches upon the issue of academic mobility, and in connection with that the author provides the results of the experiment on using the instruments of distant learning (in the form of analysis of the students'feedback). The conclusion that the author makes is that real work of a journalist with the active audience comprises perception of the audience's voice in order to be heard.

    «Mediatization of Religious Values and a Driver of a Formation of Dialog Culture in Russian Journalism»

    Author analyses logic and functional aspects of the «pluralism — dialogue — consensus» dynamic system in the public sphere and the role of journalists in the promotion of public debate. The paper is focused on the mediatization of religious values and the role of journalists in the process. The journalists’ ignorance of the re­ligious initiative to discuss basic national values indicates the dysfunction in dia­logue management in Russia and corruption of local journalistic culture.

    «I.A. Bunin’s Lecture “The Great Intoxication” and Its Role in Formation of Literary Reputation of the Writer »

    The author of the article considers I.A. Bunin's lecture “Great intoxication” (1919) as a factor which influenced the post-revolutionary literary reputation of this writer. Before the October revolution Bunin was considered a second-rate tough rather talented belletrist but he was perceived as “a live classic”, the master in emigration. In our opinion the beginning of this “transformation” started in Odessa during Civil war when for the first time Bunin declared himself as writer-patriot and a determined opponent of “the great Russian revolution”.

  • «Yu. A. Bunin and “The Educator’s Bulletin” Magazine»

    Researchers of I.A. Bunin‘s (1857—1921) creative work as a writer and a poet, who was the first Russian to be awarded Nobel Prize in Literature, read repeatedly about the role of Juliy in his younger brother’s life. Juliy had great educational influence on his brother and basically brought him up. Unfortunately there are no articles on Juliy’s work. He was a well-known journalist. His articles, published in various newspapers and magazines late in XIX — early in XX century, were not included in any collections of works, even though they are of considerable interest to readers. There are no articles about his work in the manaz,ine “Educator’s Bulletin”, which he edited from 1897 till its closing in 1917.

    The article examines the philosophical journalism the lubomjudres and slavophiles. The author considers in detail, as it reflected the aesthetic views the lubomjudres, and then slavophiles, their attitude to the periodization of art, the comprehension of the problem of the change of artistic periods. In this connection, as shown in the article, the key problem for aesthetics, and for publicisme the lubomjudres and slavophiles becomes a problem of synthesis. The slavophiles tolerate the idea of synthesis of the relations public and apply it to the theory of historical development.

  • «Karamzin about Lomonosov: Language Reforms by Lomonosov and Karamzin»

    The author examines the articles and other materials written by N.M. Karamzin about M.V. Lomonosov. On the basis of derived information the author concludes what was the Lomonosov’s image in Karamzin's writings, on what creative features of this outstanding Russian figure he made a special emphasis and what Karamzin considered to be Lomonosov’s great services for the homeland. In the second part of the article Lomonosov and Karamzin's language reforms are investigated, the distinctions in kind between them are marked out. At the end the author comes to conclusion that the language reforms of both Russian personalities served the same purposes.

    The article tells about the female magazine “The Shop of English, French and German New Fashions...” published in 1791 by V.I. Okorokov. There has been found out new data on destiny of the edition. In the article periodicity of magazine issuing, cost of subscription are established, and also the possible reasons of magazine closing are investigated. The author gives particular attention to the analysis of texts of literary works and publications about fashions from the European capitals.
