«Newspapers in Petrograd and Moscow During Active Phase of February 1917 Revolution»
The article sheds light on the causes of periodicals closure in Petrograd and Moscow in the February Revolution period. As a main cause the activity of tsarist regime executive bodies should be outlined. As another important cause of periodicals closure revolutionary developments in the streets of Petrograd and in the State Duma should be noted, in which a lot of people, including printers, took part. Conditions of appropriately modernized periodicals publication are suggested, movements of new government bodies begotten by revolution aimed to control the press issues are analyzed.

«Issues of Emigrants’ Self-Identification in Russian Émigré Press in 1930s»
The logic of development of Russian emigrants’ mass-media in 1930-th reflected process of emigrants’ self-identification. To the beginning of 1930-th old ideas have been discredited by impossibility to change a political regime in Russia. Moods of fatigue and disappointment forced emigrants to give up the struggle against Bolsheviks. It was caused also by new political and philosophical concepts which had experienced influence of the Soviet counter-propaganda. While making decision what concept to choose for development of emigrants society and struggle for Russia, the majority of emigrants categorically rejected left-wing and liberal ideas. Their place was occupied with the right-wing, radical ideology.

«Political Campaigns under Growing Ideological Dictatorship of Communist Party in 1946-1951»
In this paper author for the first time attempts to reveal objective and subjective factors of strengthening of ideological dictatorship of the Communist Party (VKP) during the post-war period. The special attention is given to propaganda campaign in the soviet press after VKP Central Committee decision “About magazines Zvezda and Leningrad” (August, 1946). This campaign had large-scale, systemic character and concerned the majority of the printed media.

The author analyses the changing of the Soviet propaganda during the first post war years making use of rare archival documents from the personal collection of Lev Mekhlis – one of the Soviet ideologist of the post war period. The collection of documents is kept in Russian State Archive of Social and Political History.

«The Origins of the Soviet Publicism»
In the article the author has outlined a circle of outstanding writers and publicists who have laid the foundation for the Soviet publicism and have presented all palette of publicistic genres. The first years of the Soviet Russia are presented by texts of A.Serafimovich, L. Sosnovsky, L. Rejsner, V. Shishkov, D. Furmanov, M. Bulgakov, A. Platonov, M. Sholokhov. In 1918-1920th the majority of essayists and feuilletonists, being front-correspondents of the central and local newspapers, wrote truthful chronicle of Civil war. The central place in this article is given to one of the most famous publicists of the period - L.Sosnovsky who wrote a lot about people of revolution, heroes-builders of the first Soviet state and its rapidly changing shape.

«Historical Name Units as Components of a Cultural Code and as an Image Construct»
The historical appellations as cultural code’s components and image construct. The article reviews historical appellations (names of the streets, events, etc. concerning the History of Russia) widely used in the modern media discourse. These appellations form one more (except those already mentioned in modern literature) event-historical cultural code. It is oriented to settle the components’ ranks and to detect the mechanics of their influence on the audience. It is a settlement of the connection between the components of the code and national matrix of history perception and evaluation. The image creation possibilities of the signs within the event-historical code are the subject of the analysis.

«Approval or Denial? Role of Various Language Tools in Objection under the Guise of Consent Tactics (An Analysis of Newspaper Speech)»
The article deals with the functions of the tactics “objection in the disguise of agreement” in the newspaper text; the language means defining the effect of the above-mentioned tactics are researched. The analysis of the material has revealed that the language means and techniques applied in this tactics express, on the one hand, readiness to cooperate with the opponent, and on the other hand, they demonstrate the superiority of the author’s opinion over the one of the opponent. At the same time the information in the right-hand part of the corresponding structure (“disagreement zone”) is represented as more important as compared to the information in the left-hand part (“agreement zone”). The method of language means usage allows to consider the stated tactics not only as the means of softening the straightforwardness of speech, but also as the means of manipulating the addressee.

The author studies the postulation process of the liberal statements used in the polemic on the web-site of the Swiss newspaper “Le Temps”. The article handles the qualified positions of the polemists who support the liberal ideology and the form in which these ideas are posed. The influence of the liberal ideology on the evaluative tools of the polemists is studied as well. <br>

The article is devoted on the development of the print media in fascist Germany. The author analyses the development of the system of the press, the circulation and the number of the titles, the technique of fascist media policy. The main goal of the analysis is to determine how this policy and especially Amann's Resolutions 1935 influenced on the system of the press in the Third Reich.

«Shakespeare’s Ophelia in English Literature Magazine: from Romantic Ideal to Victorian One (Analysis of Blackwood’s Edinburgh Magazine)»
The author investigates the problem of interpretation and redesigning the character of Shakespearean Ophelia in British XIX century literary periodicals comparing this to the ‘mainstream’ literary criticism. Taking the phase dominated by Romantic criticism, which sees the proliferation of new reviews and magazines, as a start, it then continues by reviewing transformations in comprehending Ophelia’s character through the Victorian period.

«Historical Peculiarities of the Development of Analytic Journalism in Spain: the Florescence of the Column as an Independent Genre at the Turn of the XX-XXI Centuries »
The article gives an overview of the formation of analytic genres in Spain, in particular the formation of variety of the comment genre, including the column, of the literary article. The author bases on the review of the Spanish political journalism in the XIX and XX century and on the experience of American columnists and makes a resume of the development of the column genre in Spain. The conclusion: the grate popularity of the column in Spain in its current stage corresponds to the peculiarity of the national journalism, which is marked by politicization and subjectivism and tends to personalize the information and the comment.
