Historical Peculiarities of the Development of Analytic Journalism in Spain: the Florescence of the Column as an Independent Genre at the Turn of the XX-XXI Centuries

The article gives an overview of the formation of analytic genres in Spain, in particular the formation of variety of the comment genre, including the column, of the literary article. The author bases on the review of the Spanish political journalism in the XIX and XX century and on the experience of American columnists and makes a resume of the development of the column genre in Spain. The conclusion: the grate popularity of the column in Spain in its current stage corresponds to the peculiarity of the national journalism, which is marked by politicization and subjectivism and tends to personalize the information and the comment.
