Beginning the Long Way: Orel Stage of Publicist’s Vasily Selyunin Biography

Having based on lhe archive materials the article is devoted to the study of the famous Soviet publicist Vasiliy Г. Selyunin ’s (1927—1994) initial period of career. He was one of the first graduates of the Department of Journalism, Lomonosov Moscow State University. In 1954—1955 he worked for the regional newspaper “ Orlovskaya Pravda” where he published number of his articles on agriculture, but also many essays and reviews on other subjects. In this article numerous previously unknown facts of the initial period of his career were added for the scientific use.
