The Impact of Technologies on the Development of Russian Sports Media Communications

The article describes the key events in the history of Russian sports media taking into account the technological factor that has influenced media development. The author examines how the emergence and improvement of various media communication channels have affected sports coverage. New technical means have changed the delivery of sports content and increased the spectacular nature of sports media events. Particular attention is paid to the features of sports media operations in the digital environment. Online sports magazines appear to be a combination of newspaper genres, the spectacular nature of television, a commercial platform for promoting sports goods and interactive opportunities for communication with the audience and athletes.
