Media Research: Industrial Demand and Academic Capability

It is well known and regarded highly natural that industrial research and academic research are usually at variance with each other regardless of the branch of knowledge at consideration. At the same time there come to life diverse convergence efforts. This article represents one of them, which is aimed at bringing industrial and academic media research together on the field of professional journalism. This kind of convergence is absolutely necessary and feasible. The conviction is grounded upon author’s personal experience, who is both an academic professor and industrial research practitioner.
