The article presents the reader a number of terms outlining the concept of jour­nalist’s creative activity, which was created on the base of a system approach to the analysis of this sphere. The author gives a characteristic to the main block of terms, which have made the foundation of the study course “Basics of journalist’s profes­sional activity” for the Bachelor’s degree programme in journalism departments of Russian universities.
